Tomorrow, we will be heading out to Montréjeau again to distribute tracts at the market. Please pray that there would be no problems tomorrow for us in setting up our Bible stand. While we are there, we will also make a visit to a lady (Sylvie) who visited the church a couple of weeks ago. She is going through a lot at this time in her life. As of right now, we are not sure that she is saved, please pray that God would open the door for us to explain His love for her tomorrow.

The church at Saint-Gaudens also just put out our quarterly journal. If you know a little French and would like to brush up, follow the link below. Please pray that God would use the journel to reach out to those around us. We distribute it at the markets and also to the many contacts that we have.

Another recent addition to what we are doing at the church is putting a banner in the front window of the church that lists all of the services and special events. Please pray also that God would use this to attract those who walk past the church building.

Last Monday was a first for us. We were finally able to set up the Bible stand at the market at Montréjeau. Back in the Spring, we had asked for permission to set up our Bible stand, but never received any reply. On several occasions, we had planned to just go, try to set up and see what happens, but we were rained out or something else had come up. Praise the Lord that He removed all the obstacles this past Monday. Please pray that we would be able to continue with the market in Montréjeau. We do not have permission still and probably never will. The man in charge of placing people at the market did not say anything against the fact that we were there on Monday. We also had to share a place with someone else, but in the end all went well. Praise the Lord.

This past Sunday was also a great encouragement to us in the ministry. Genevieve, the lady that found the invitation to the conference, trusted Christ as her Savior. She was at church again on Sunday, and she  went home with another family in the church for lunch. That afternoon, as they were speaking, Yann was able to lead Genevieve to the Lord. What a wonderful and amazing Savior we have. We can only giving thanks in how the Lord brought all of this together.

The Lord truly answered our prayers and sent us four visitors for the conference this past Saturday. A couple of the visitors were people who had already come to the conferences that we had last year. It truly was a great blessing to see how God worked out all the details. Another praise concerning the conference was that we were able to get a small anouncement in the local Newspaper. I dropped off an invitation at the Newspaper office several days before the conference, but really did not expect them to put the anouncement in the paper since they had not done so for the last several conferences. We were able to distribute a little over 2,000 invitations for the conference. On the back of each invitation was also written a small explanation of the conference and the Gospel message. Please pray that God would work in the hearts of those who received these invitations.

Another large praise from this past weekend was that we had a visitor (Genevieve) at church Sunday morning. Genevieve has been looking for a church home recently and had not found one. She lives about 30 km from Saint-Gaudens and was not aware that there was a good church in the area. As she was walking one day out in the countyside trying to get back to her car that was broken down, she found an invitation from our church that was on the ground. Praise the Lord that the invitation flew off exactly where she would be and that her car had broken down. She called the very same day and said that she would be coming to church the following Sunday. From all appearances, she seems to have a great desire to integrate into the church and come regularly to the services. Please pray that God would continue to work in her life as there are many things that need to be taken care of.

This coming Saturday will the the Ladies meeting that is held every month during the school year. This time, it will be in our home. Please pray that it goes well, and that it is a blessing to the ladies. Melissa will be giving her testimony at the meeting.

This Saturday, we will be having an evangelistic conference at the church. We have begun to hand out invitations and have been able to distribute 1,200 so far. The title of the conference is “Religion or Gospel.” The title of the conference is very strong for the French, but please pray that God would work in the hearts of those who receive the invitation. That they would be open to come and hear the Gospel.  As we go out this week to distribute more invitation and put up small posters announcing the conference please pray also that the people would be receptive.

This week, we will also be working a lot with the five young people in the Apollos Program. They will be working in our church so we will be able to put them to work. We finished knocking all the doors in Miramont de Comminges last week with the young people and made several good contacts. There are two people who are asking for a Bible from the visits that we made. This week we plan to knock all the doors, Lord willing, in the city of Aspet where we have the Bible stand on Saturdays. Two weeks ago, we distributed gospel tracts in the mailboxes. Please pray that the people in Aspet would be receptive to what we have to say.

Praise the Lord for how He has been answering our prayers. The last couple of weeks we have had visitors come to church. One of these visitors was Consuelo. She is the lady that made a profession of faith several weeks ago. It is a true encouragement to see that she is wanting to hear the messages from God’s Word preached. Yesterday makes the second time that she has come to church. Please pray that she would continue to have the desire to come and that her family would not hinder her in coming. Consuelo comes from a Gypsy background and it is very difficult to come out of that culture and begin doing things with others who are not of that heritage. Please pray that the Lord would open the door through Consuelo to her family that we might share the Gospel with them.

Last week, we also had our neighbor (Patrick) visit the church for the first time. I have spoken with him on several occasions, but there has been no real interest. I spoke with him toward the end of the week and invited him to come to church again. I never expected to see him walk through the doors of the church, but last week he did exactly that. Patrick is going through some difficulties right now in his family, please pray that maybe through these problems he would turn to the Lord for help. Please pray that we would have the opportunity to clearly explain the gospel to him, as of yet, we have not been able to do so.

Last Wednesday was a true encouragement for us also. Christine has been wanting to learn more from the Word of God, and because of her desire we have started a discipleship program with her. Melissa and I will be going over once a week to her home and working through a discipleship program. Praise the Lord for new believers who desire to grow in the Faith. Please pray for Christine, she has only been saved now about a month and Satan is already attacking to discourage her in her new life as a child of God.

Friday was also a blessing for us. Michael and I went knocking on doors in a city called Encause les Thermes. We were able to put Gospel tracts into several peoples’ hands. We were using a survey to help open the door to discuss spiritual things. Only one person did the survey with us, but this one person asked us to come back this week and bring them Bible. Please pray for the Lefebvre family as we go back to visit them this week to give them a Bible. Pray that God would open their hearts, and they would be ready to hear the Gospel message.

The past couple of weeks have been a whirl wind of activity for us. We had the start of the Apollos Program, the director of our mission board with his wife, and a missions team from Georgia. Needless to say it has been quite busy, but also fun at the same time.
With the missions team from Georgia, we were able to distribute tracts in the mail boxes of four different cities around Saint-Gaudens. We were also able to cover the new construction in Saint-Gaudens. The Lord answered our prayers in that we have already recieved a couple of calls from people who recieved the tracts in their mailboxes. They expressed interest and said that they may come visit the church. Please pray that God would use this outreach into the towns around us to see souls saved.
Melissa and I were also able to visit with Consuelo earlier today. We went by to see if we could pick her up for church, but before that we could ask if we could, she had already done so, saying that she wanted to come to church this coming Sunday. Please pray that nothing would get in the way for her to come to church and to begin to grow spiritually. I asked if she had been reading the Bible since she trusted Christ a couple weeks ago and she answered that she had, and it had been an encouragement to her through the week. Praise the Lord in how He is working in her life.
Another exciting situation is also happening in the life of Christine. A lady who was saved a couple weeks ago. She has expressed a desire to be baptized and also wants to start learning more from God’s Word. Lord willing, this coming Wednesday, we will start going through a discipleship program with her. Please pray that she would continue having the desire to learn God’s Word.

The Apollos Program starts today! Please pray that God would use this training program for young people to help reach the lost here in France. Please pray that the classes that are offered will be a help and an encouragement to these young people. We are starting this first year of the Apollos Program with five young people. Praise the Lord for answered prayers and sending people who want to learn more of His Word. Please pray specifically for Melissa and I. I will be teaching three classes this year (Apologetics, Personal Witness, and Church Administration), the classes for me begin tomorrow. Melissa will be giving seminars on different topics also during the year (Cleaning, Home Making, etc.). If you would like more information about this training program follow the links below.

We also have an American Team starting this Wednesday. Eleven people will be here to help with construction at the camp and also do evangelistic outreach. There are three men and eight women who are coming. The men will help with the construction and the women will help with distribution of literature in mailboxes. Please pray that God would use this time to see souls saved for Him.

We were able to have a concert at the church here in Saint-Gaudens with the 14 participants who came to the Choir Camp. We were able to put up several anouncements around town for the concert and we were able to hand out several hundred invitations at the Bible stand. The Lord answered our prayers in sending several visitors to listen to the concert. The Gospel was clearly presented after the concert. Several of the visitors stayed afterward to talk about what they heard. It was a great blessing to see God working in the hearts of the lost who came. The Lord has answered our prayers in another way. We have been praying that we would see souls saved through the ministry of the church here at Saint-Gaudens. The Lord has answered our prayers. Last week, Yann and Patrick, two men in the church, were visiting with a lady that we had met through a lady who comes to the church every now and then. The night of the visit, Christine prayed to accept Christ as Savior. Christine has been coming to church and she gave her testimony of her salvation last Sunday. What a great God we serve.

Friday, Yann and I were out again visiting with other contacts. We stopped and spoke with Noelle and gave her more material to read that explains the message of salvation. She was again very open to everything that we had to say. Please pray that God would work in her heart, and that she would trust Christ as Savior. We also tried to visit Antonio, but he was not home. We have not seen him in about a month. Please also pray for him that God would do a work in his heart. After we left Antonio’s, we went to see Consuelo. Some of you may remember that we have visited her on a couple occasions. This time though, she was very open to what we were saying. Friday night, Consuelo prayed to accept Christ as Savior. Praise the Lord in how He answered our prayers. Pray that Consuelo would come to the church now so that she can begin learning the things of the Bible and mature in her new faith.
